Data for specialists

The Atlas has four scientific sections. Charts open in their reference view; additional filters are labelled “extended view”. Each point links to the primary publication and the relevant row in the source workbook.

In 16 paired comparisons from 12 foetuses and children, the variant was not detected (ND) in either sample. These results are not exact measurements of zero.

01● Observed data

Between different embryos

Heteroplasmy levels in embryos, by mtDNA variant and source

187 values across 7 mtDNA variants

02● Observed data

Within individual embryos

Agreement in heteroplasmy levels between different parts of the same embryo

40 blastocysts + 22 cleavage-stage embryos

03● Observed data

Embryo, foetus and child

Heteroplasmy in embryo biopsies and prenatal or postnatal samples

30 comparisons, 16 foetuses and children

04◆ Model calculation

PGT-mt × PGT-A model

Scenarios for joint selection using PGT-mt and preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A), and sensitivity to model assumptions
